tiresome: My mom used to say something to me and my sisters when we were kids in a different language and only recently did I find out that the literal translation means “I will beat you to dead” Oh my gosh, my brother would do something really similar to his kids too! He would murmur stuff in Greek that was actually a bunch of swears, and they would have no idea, haha.
