Something that sucks.
When you like someone - like, really like them - so you introduce them to your friends and your friends like them because they’re cool and nice and whatever, only then they throw all manner of unintentionally yet nonetheless completely ridiculous and heartbreaking bullshit your way so you stop speaking to them for your own sanity, only your friends still think they’re this awesome person because they ARE, they just happened to also have hurt you so bad you never even want to see their name again, only even though they live really far away and it should be fairly easy to cut them out, hypothetically, you can’t because EVERYONE YOU FREAKING KNOW ON THE WHOLE ENTIRE INTERNET still talks to them, so you know they see your name and you see theirs, and you just want them to fall off the fucking planet because even existing in the same universe as them is too close contact for you.
For those who this pertains to: I never want to hear that person’s name again. Ever. And I don’t entirely trust people - I just don’t, even if they’re my friends - so however many times people say they’re not gonna talk about me to the person, I never quite believe you, you know? Not because I think you specifically are a bad person, but. Everyone gossips. They just do. And one degree of separation isn’t nearly enough, and it’s SO hard to deal with, and basically this person needs to get out of my life and away from my friends. But most of them like this person better than me. And I’ve had to stop or reduce contact with some of them - even someone I’ve known for six years previous to them knowing the person - because I’m not sure where their loyalties lie. So, awesome.
